Not every pedicure appointment is the same, and it shouldn’t be.
Some days you have 35 minutes and you just need clean, polished toes before a trip. Other days your feet genuinely hurt, your heels are cracked, and you want someone to fix that properly. And occasionally there’s a version of yourself that deserves an hour of hot stones, citrus scrubs, and paraffin wax — no shortcuts.
J Nails Lash & Brow at 312 N Main St, Winnsboro TX offers five spa pedicure levels. This guide explains what each one actually involves, what it’s best suited for, and how to decide which one to book — based on your time, your feet, and what kind of afternoon you’re having.

Gel polish upgrades: +$15 regular color · +$20 French tip
Level 1: Express Pedicure: $38
What’s included: Cut, trim, lotion massage, hot towels & polish
The Express is exactly what it sounds like, a complete, well-executed pedicure without the extras. Nails are cut and shaped, a lotion massage works through the feet and lower legs, hot towels wrap things up, and you leave with fresh polish.
What it isn’t: a treatment. There’s no exfoliation, no callus removal, no paraffin. If your feet have built-up dry skin or rough heels, the Express won’t address those. It keeps things clean and polished, nothing more.
Book the Express when you’re:
- You’re on a schedule, event tonight, flight tomorrow, lunch break appointment
- Your feet are in genuinely good shape and just need a polish refresh
- You’ve just had a full pedicure recently and want maintenance, not a full service
- You want a basic tidy-up before sandal season kicks in and you haven’t let things go too far
Level 2: Basic Pedicure: $48
Included: Cut, trim, callus removal, sugar scrub, lotion massage, hot towels & polish.
The Basic is the first tier where actual skin treatment starts. Callus removal addresses the hardened skin on the heels and ball of the foot that builds up with daily wear. The sugar scrub exfoliates the surface layer of dead skin from the feet and lower legs, leaving skin noticeably smoother after a single session.
For most clients who come in regularly, every three to four weeks. The Basic is the everyday workhorse service. It covers everything that needs covering without tipping into luxury territory.
Book the Basic when:
- Your heels have started to roughen up or show early cracking
- You’re keeping a regular maintenance schedule and want more than a polish change
- You want noticeably softer skin but don’t need a full spa experience
- Budget is a consideration but you still want proper foot care
Level 3: Deluxe Pedicure: $58
What’s included: Cut, trim, callus removal, scented sugar scrub, hot stone massage, paraffin wax, lotion massage, hot towels & polish.
The Deluxe is where the appointment shifts from maintenance into something that actually feels good while it’s happening.
Hot stone massage uses smooth, warm stones worked through the feet and calves. The heat loosens muscle tension more effectively than hands alone – particularly in the arch and heel where most people carry daily stress without realizing it. If you spend a lot of time on your feet, work on hard floors, or just walk more than average, the hot stone component makes a real difference.
Paraffin wax is the other upgrade that earns its place here. Warm paraffin is applied to the feet, which are then wrapped in booties while the wax cools. The heat opens the pores and allows moisture to penetrate the skin at a depth that lotion alone can’t reach. For clients with persistently dry skin on the feet, not just surface dryness but the kind that returns within a day of moisturizing – paraffin is the treatment that actually keeps skin soft between appointments.
You should book the Deluxe when:
- Your feet are tired, genuinely, physically tired from standing, walking, or being on your feet all week
- Your skin is dry enough that lotion isn’t cutting it
- You want the appointment to feel like a treat, not just a task
- It’s been a long week and you want 55 minutes where nothing is required of you
Level 4: Super Deluxe Pedicure: $68
What’s included: Cut, trim, callus removal, orange & herbal sugar scrub, lavender or lemongrass massage, hot stone massage, paraffin wax, lotion massage, mud mask, hot towels & polish
The Super Deluxe layers in two things the Deluxe doesn’t have: a mud mask and an aromatic massage using lavender or lemongrass.
The mud mask draws impurities from the skin while adding minerals. It’s applied to the feet and legs, allowed to set, then removed before the paraffin stage. The skin underneath is noticeably cleaner and more even in tone than after exfoliation alone.
The aromatherapy choice matters more than it might seem. Lavender is genuinely calming, not just as a scent but physiologically. It’s the right call if you’re coming in stressed or you want the appointment to feel like a full reset. Lemongrass is brighter and more energizing, and better for a morning or midday appointment when you want to feel refreshed rather than sleepy.
The orange and herbal sugar scrub at this level is also more complex than the basic sugar scrub below it, citrus-based exfoliants carry natural alpha hydroxy acids that break down dead skin cells more effectively than granular scrub alone.
Book the Super Deluxe when:
- You want the full treatment without making any decisions about what to skip
- Your skin needs more than basic callus removal: rough texture, uneven tone, or persistent dryness
- You’re treating someone (gift, birthday, Mother’s Day, treat yourself moment)
- You want the aromatherapy element the scent makes the whole experience different
Level 5: Citrus Signature Spa Pedicure: $78
Fresh orange exfoliation, paraffin wax, hot stone massage, mud mask, hot towel wrap & polish
The Citrus Signature is J Nails’ flagship pedicure, and the one that gets the most follow-up bookings from first-time clients.
What makes it different from the Super Deluxe isn’t just the ingredients, and it’s the sequence and the technique. Fresh orange is used for exfoliation rather than pre-packaged scrub product. Citric acid from fresh fruit works differently on the skin than granular sugar: it breaks down the bonds between dead skin cells chemically rather than just buffing them away mechanically. The result is smoother, more even skin with less effort and less abrasion.
The hot towel wrap at the end of the Citrus Signature is a full leg wrap, not just a quick wipe-down. Warm towels are wrapped from knee to toe with a moisture mask underneath, trapping heat and allowing the treatment products to absorb fully before the final polish.
The cumulative effect of fresh citrus exfoliation, paraffin wax, hot stone massage, mud mask, and hot towel wrap is noticeably different from anything below it. Clients who’ve had every level describe the Citrus Signature as a different category of service, not just more steps, but a different quality of result.
Book the Citrus Signature when:
- Your feet are genuinely in rough shape, cracked heels, very dry skin, calluses that have been building up
- You haven’t had a pedicure in a while and want to start fresh properly
- It’s a special occasion: vacation, wedding, reunion, milestone birthday
- You want the best possible result and you’re happy to spend 75 minutes getting it
- You’ve heard about it from someone and decided today is the day
What Each Level Adds Over the One Below It
This is the clearest way to understand what you’re actually paying for at each step up:
| Upgrade | What It Adds | Worth It If… |
|---|---|---|
| Express → Basic (+$10) | Callus removal + sugar scrub | Your heels or soles have any roughness at all |
| Basic → Deluxe (+$10) | Hot stone massage + paraffin wax | Your feet ache OR your skin is persistently dry |
| Deluxe → Super Deluxe (+$10) | Mud mask + aromatic massage (lavender/lemongrass) | You want the full sensory experience, not just results |
| Super Deluxe → Citrus Signature (+$10) | Fresh orange exfoliation + full hot towel leg wrap | Your skin needs a proper reset, not just maintenance |
One thing worth noticing: every step up is exactly $10 more. That makes the decision easier, you’re not choosing between $38 and $78 in one jump, you’re deciding at each level whether the next $10 is worth it for what it adds.
For most clients, the answer to “Basic → Deluxe” is almost always yes, hot stone massage and paraffin wax for $10 more is genuinely good value. The jump from Super Deluxe to Citrus Signature is the one that depends most on the actual condition of your feet.
Who Should Choose Which?
- Express $38 if: Your feet are in good shape, and you’ve had a pedicure recently, and today is about polish and a quick tidy-up. You’re time-limited or budget-conscious and you just need your toes to look presentable.
- Basic $48 if: Your heels have started to roughen. You want actual skin care, not just polish. This is the minimum tier for anyone whose feet have had any real daily wear – which is most people.
- Deluxe $58 if: You’re tired. Your feet hurt from standing or walking. Your skin is dry enough that you moisturize and it doesn’t really stick. The hot stone massage alone justifies the $10 over Basic for clients on their feet all day.
- Super Deluxe $68 if: You want the full experience. You want to smell lavender or lemongrass and feel like the appointment is doing something for your whole body, not just your feet. Or you’re treating yourself and you want the works without going to the top tier.
- Citrus Signature $78 if: Your feet are actually rough, cracked heels, significant callus build-up, skin that’s been neglected for a while. Or it’s a special occasion and you want the best possible result. Fresh orange exfoliation works differently than scrub products and the full hot towel leg wrap at this level is the reason clients come back for it specifically.
Still not sure? That’s what the phone is for, call (903) 347-1125, describe your feet and your afternoon, and our team will tell you which level fits.
One Practical Note on Choosing
The most common mistake clients make is booking the Express when their feet actually need the Basic, or booking the Basic when what they really want is the Deluxe.
The tier system at J Nails is genuinely graduated, each level adds something that makes a real difference, not just an extra product applied for 30 seconds. If you’re not sure which one fits your situation, call (903) 347-1125 before you come in. Describe what’s going on with your feet and what you’re hoping to leave with, so the team will tell you which level makes sense.
Walk-ins are welcome. For weekend appointments or if you have a specific time in mind, calling ahead is the better move.
